K’ahbamitue – (Ptarmigan net)
Located above the Arctic Circle between Great Bear Lake and the Arctic coast, Colville Lake is one of our most traditional communities, accessible only by air in summer and ice road in winter. Residents still follow a land-based way of life. Visit Colville Lake Lodge, and the museum/art gallery featuring the work of northern artist Bern Will Brown. Our Lady of the Snows is a unique log church with a thousand-pound (455 kg) bell built in 1962.
